Walking on Auburn
Hi Everyone,

Since inheriting THE HUB ATLANTA CHURCH this past summer, the Lord has been breaking any idea of “normal church” that we may have had and teaching us “normal Christianity”. With that, I wanted to share a powerful update on our adventures/journey in downtown Atlanta that may involve a part of YOUR destiny. Please share this with anyone as you feel led.

Since relocating The HUB Atlanta downtown, we have taken on a very “different” style of “church”. With instructions from Papa to simply “be the church” in this season, we have been meeting weekly in downtown Atlanta to release the sound of Heaven over our city through worship, prayer & prophesy. We believe the intention of this is to prepare the atmosphere for revival. We have been given an assignment to re-dig the ancient wells of days gone by to bring Atlanta into her God-designed destiny.

Through the process, He told us to study the history of Atlanta to find specific points of needed prayer. In addition, some prophetic words we have received regarding the resurgence of MLK Jr’s nonviolent movement of love have begun to be confirmed in many ways. We believe the sound of Heaven that Papa is using us to release will have the power to penetrate hearts and dissolve the hatred and division that still exists racially and economically in our city, metro area and southern United States.Note also that while I often speak of bringing “Atlanta” into her destiny, we have seen visions of a whirlwind starting in downtown, moving west, then south, then east, then north, and even healing the land from the Trail of Tears in North Georgia. So for those of you receiving this who are not directly a part of what we’re doing downtown (maybe you even live out of state), you can still be a part of the process for these freedoms to cover our metro area. We believe this will eventually have a regional effect on the whole southeastern US.

In recent weeks, we have taken much time to research and pray over:

  • Underground Atlanta
  • Five Points Train Station (the HUB of the Metro Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority)
  • the Zero Mile Post (the original center point of the city of Atlanta)
  • The GULCH (the original Undergound Atlanta and original railway HUB of transportation)
  • Auburn Ave (home & launch pad for MLK Jr.).

At each place, we are sensing the power of God in amazing ways. And each place we have gone was supernaturally revealed to us, as if we are getting one piece of the puzzle at a time. And our directive of where to pray continues to be Spirit-led.

As we were prayerfully walking through Auburn Ave yesterday, one of our HUB / MOW family who was unable to attend was at home being led by Holy Spirit to pray and research more about our great city’s history. She send me a link to an event that happened in 1906, and it will now be our point of convergence this coming Saturday, Feb 14th.

We meet weekly at 1pm in the “G-DECK” which is a Georgia State parking Deck at the corner of Central Ave and Wall St in Downtown Atlanta. Parking is Free. If you plan to attend, please RSVP so we know you are coming and don’t leave the parking garage without you. The areas we will walk and pray this week are within 6 blocks of this parking garage:

Here are some things we ask you to keep in mind:

  • We invite you to join us in person, or at least in prayer as we continue to cleanse our city/metro area and bring “inner-healing” (so to speak) and see the strong holds of the past removed, so that an atmosphere of UNITY and REVIVAL can come forth.
  • Our CALENDAR will always have the latest dates/times we are meetingbut specific location information will be released through these email updates, facebook and our blog. We encourage you to follow along with our updates to pray.
  • YOU may be given a piece of the puzzle to bring freedom to Atlanta and surrounding areasWe know that we are not an exclusive group, and that this mandate of freedom will come through the obedience and unity of many.
  • Please share any revelation you receive regarding the healing/restoration of Atlanta and surrounding areas at

Thank you for joining us in prayer for the freedom of our great city, our metro area, and the southeastern United States. Many Blessings~

Senior Pastor & Visionary

Here is more about the event in 1906 for those who are interested:
On the afternoon of Saturday, September 22, 1906 Atlanta newspapers reported four alleged assaults, none of which were ever substantiated, upon local white women. Extra editions of these accounts, sensationalized with lurid details and inflammatory language intended to inspire fear if not revenge, circulated, and soon thousands of white men and boys gathered in downtown Atlanta. City leaders, including Mayor James G. Woodward, sought to calm the increasingly indignant crowds but failed to do so. By early evening, the crowd had become a mob; from then until after midnight, they surged down Decatur Street, Pryor Street, Central Avenue, and throughout the central business district, assaulting hundreds of blacks. The mob attacked black-owned businesses, smashing the windows of black leader Alonzo Herndon‘s barbershop. Although Herndon had closed down early and was already at home when his shop was damaged, another barbershop across the street was raided by the rioters—and the barbers were killed. The crowd also attacked streetcars, entering trolley cars and beating black men and women; at least three men were beaten to death.
On Sunday, September 23, the Atlanta newspapers reported that the state militia had been mustered to control the mob; they also reported that blacks were no longer a problem for whites because Saturdaynight’s violence had driven them off public streets. While the police, armed with rifles, and militia patrolled the streets and key landmarks and guarded white property, blacks secretly obtained weapons to arm themselves against the mob, fearing its return. Despite the presence of law enforcement, white vigilante groups invaded some black neighborhoods. W.E.B. Du Bois, an African-American educator, writer and social activist. The riot’s aftermath helped move black activists away from an accommodationist stance and toward the more aggressive push for racial equality advocated by Du Bois. In the wake of the 1906 riot, Du Bois wrote a moving poem called “The Litany of Atlanta.”:

Be empowered, and take it back to your community…

Or stick around and be a part of what God is doing in our great city!

Do You Hear What I Hear? Don Potter Explains The 432hz Frequency

432Hz MusicI recently received a prophetic word about frequencies, sound, etc and that God was going to reveal Himself to me in it (how He is in it). In the three short weeks since that word, every time I turn around something is coming across my path that has to do with this subject! (books, articles, posts, blogs, podcasts, webcasts, live teachings, etc.) God is good!

This past Friday night (Sept 13, 2013) Don Potter (musician from Morningstar Ministries) spoke about music and Heaven’s sound. The message was profound about what the enemy has stolen from the Kingdom regarding sound and music. You may have heard (I had not) that it is believed that Hitler’s propaganda people made 440hz the main frequency used in music since Hitler. They changed it (influenced by the enemy) to set people out of harmony with the earth. God created the earth and everything in it on the 432hz frequency where healing can flow through the music. In 440hz it cannot flow to us because our human bodies are tuned to 432hz.. So is all of nature. Instruments since the 1930′s are all tuned to 440hz to keep us out of harmony.

This information blew me away. I shared it with our worship leader and he was blown away too and said it makes perfect sense! He said he is re-tuning their instruments to 432hz… back to the frequency of GOD! I thought you might be blessed by this.

I’m sharing this information with every pastor / worshiper / musician / warrior I can think of. And I hope you would too! God is waking us up to the delusion so we can be healed, restored and empowered as His Bride!

Let’s get our frequency back!

I know the tendency when people hear this type of subject matter is to think, “Gee, that sounds a bit NEW AGE.” But God is really bringing to my awareness lately (through many other sources) so many things that we (Christians) tend to consider ‘demonic’ that are actually God ideas but the enemy has created counterfeits to the original. The ORIGINAL, POWERFUL, GOD-ORDAINED, GOD-DESIGNED, GOD-INTENDED purpose behind these things has been lost because we’ve written off the originals, mistakenly thinking the entire topic is demonic. BUT GOD! He truly is waking us up to the delusions and to HIS original intentions so we can be FREE and operate in the power of the Kingdom! WOOT!

Overcoming Addictive Strongholds with a RADICAL INFUSION

Tune in to the webcast below where I was recently a guest and spoke about Addictive Strongholds.  Learn how Addictive Strongholds are more common than you might think and what you can do to break free from them… ( the starting point is delayed. Go to 1:12 for it to begin.)

Get yourself a RADICAL INFUSION today to overcome those Addictive Strongholds as well as process other unresolved emotions. Below is a message I preached recently in more detail about the need for Inner-Healing, and it ends with me leading you to pray and get a RADICAL INFUSION:

TOdd BentleyFor the first time since the Lakeland Revival ended in August 2008, GOD TV founders Rory and Wendy Alec interviewed Todd Bentley of Fresh Fire Ministries and asked the hard questions we all want to know… WHAT REALLY HAPPENED IN LAKELAND?

LIVE from their Jerusalem studios, Rory Alec indicates this interview has seemed long overdue, yet it is right on-time according to God’s timetable. Many, including GOD TV (especially Wendy), took much persecution for their association with Todd Bentley when the public became aware of Todd’s marriage problems, subsequent divorce and finally, his remarriage to his new wife Jessa.

Todd Bentley is asked many direct questions during this interview that many have no doubt been curious to hear answered. “Did you actually commit adultery?” “Were you having a physical relationship while you were married?” But by and large the overall question was “What happened?”

Admitting and agreeing with Wendy that the first three months of the revival (later called the Lakeland Outpouring) were pure and without sin, Bentley admits that while it wasn’t yet public knowledge, he had separated from his wife in early July 2008. The healings and miracles that happened in Lakeland were real and all God. Bentley points out that God’s miracles continued in spite of his sin because the revival was about Jesus, not about Todd Bentley. But Todd knew that he was in error and needed to step down. At that point, other evangelists began to preach the services instead of Todd as Todd got much needed rest, but also made the decision to finally go public with what was happening in his marriage. Bentley shares openly and transparently about his personal struggles and state of mind during this time.

Bentley then shares about the offer from Rick Joyner and Bill Johnson to oversee his restoration and how he saw the heart of the Father in these two men of God when so many others had turned away from him.

Many wonder about Todd’s former wife Shonnah and where she stands on all of this today. Included in the interview was a phone conversation with her family pastor Brent Borthwick ( who gave a statement on her behalf. He stated that she has forgiven Todd and gives her blessing on his continued ministry and calling of God on his life.

Also included was a phone interview with Rick Joyner regarding Todd’s healing and his response to restoration. He said he believes Todd completely submitted himself to correction and restoration and as a result has a stronger foundation today than many.

During the show, Todd refers to having marriage problems prior to the Lakeland Revival and speaks of the attempts that were made to bring healing. He talks about Bill Johnson’s support in helping to mend his marriage. Confident the marriage had been restored to a level that would endure, Todd began to travel again in ministry with great anointing. Here is a link to a letter from Bill Johnson sent to Rick Joyner in 2011 which confirms this:

As Christians we have no problem forgiving a sinner when they come to Christ. But can you forgive them more than once? What about after they become a Christian and mess up? What about after they become a leader and mess up? Are we able to see a true heart of repentance in someone and forgive them again? And again, if necessary?

Where does your heart stand when it comes to forgiving a Christian (leader or non-leader) when they mess up? In reality, are any of us above being deceived by the evil one and making mistakes?

The answer to this and any questions we have goes back to the coined phrase: “What would Jesus do?” Whatever Jesus would do, should be what we do also.

God forgave Peter after he denied him three times. God forgave David after he committed adultery with Bathsheba, had her husband killed and married her. God even allowed David to remain King after his true repentance and then allowed David and Bathsheba’s son Solomon to become King.

Matthew 18:21-22 “Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?” Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.”

This interview on GOD TV was an incredible, pure display of the Father’s heart of forgiveness and restoration. Through tears, Bentley admitted his sin, repented before the public, and asked their forgiveness. Additionally, Wendy Alec publicly forgave Todd Bentley for the persecution she and GOD TV received as a result of Todd’s sin. And following Jesus’ instructions in Matthew 5:44, Wendy also publicly forgave and blessed her enemies who had persecuted her and GOD TV, as well as asked their forgiveness for GOD TV’s role in any wounding they may have experienced.

Matthew 5:44a “But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven.”

If you missed the broadcast, GOD TV likely will be re-airing it and possibly posting it in their ON DEMAND viewings. It is definitely a must-watch broadcast for anyone, especially those affected by the consequences of Todd Bentley’s choices. This broadcast offers a much needed platform for healing and closure. The Lord surely is faithful as we see how His grace is truly sufficient and His power really can be made perfect in our weaknesses.

2 Corinthians 12:9-10 “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”

This post is not intended to elevate Todd Bentley, it is  promoting the UNDENIABLE message of grace and forgiveness through this interview I saw today. Even if Todd Bentley turns out to be a fraud in the future, or he falls into sin again, I stand by what I posted here today and what I witnessed on this broadcast. It was genuine. People are not perfect, can fall prey to the enemy and can make many mistakes. But the key is TRUE repentance. We must pray for Todd that the enemy’s traps do not ensnare him again.

NOTE: Comments were once welcomed and people were entitled to agree or disagree with this post. However, I would not approve negative comments that did not carry a spirit of love. I read them, but did not publish them on my blog. Sadly, I got tired of reading the ugly, hateful, critical, bashing comments that many who profess Christianity were posting. So I closed the comments.

NOTE 2: This is being added on October 30, 2013. Since this particular blog post continues to get hundreds of views per week, I wanted to add another layer of conversation about Todd Bentley, his restoration and his return to ministry. Here is Rick Joyner talking about it on PROPHETIC PERSPECTIVES:

Do You Have An Orphan Spirit?

We often hear people talk about James 1:27:

James 1:27

Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.

We also often limit this to what we understand of orphans and widows in the natural. But the reality is that many people fall into this category if we would only have eyes to see.

By looking at the definition of the original Greek, we can see more clearly:

ORPHANS: those of uncertain affinity, parentless, comfortless, fatherless

(To be of uncertain affinity means not being connected on common ground; not belonging anywhere or to anyone specific.)

WIDOWS: those who are deficient, lacking a husband, having a chasm, vacancy, impassable interval, gape or gulf

These definitions in a spiritual sense, include many more people than one would realize.

In pure and undefiled religion, these are the people we are instructed to visit.

VISIT: to inspect; to select; by extending ourselves, go see and bring relief

But too often we don’t recognize them when they are right in front of us.

  • They are in your church
  • They are on your job
  • They live in your neighborhood
  • They could be in the mirror
  • Many have grown up in two-parent homes
  • Many have never been married
  • Many have been divorced
  • Many have been ostracized for various reasons such as race, social class or gender
  • Many have lost loved ones other than a spouse

We cannot identify them by traditional definitions. We must identify them by their FRUIT. This orphan spirit is crippling many inside and outside of the church today… it is like a hidden shard of glass that has the potential to cut them, make them bleed and make them unable to walk in their destiny.

Could you or someone you know be struggling with an orphan spirit?

There is hope!

John 14:18 says:

I will not leave you as orphans (with uncertain affinity, parentless, comfortless, fatherless); I will come to you.

Rom 8:14-17

…those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship (placed into immediate kinship; adoption) And by him we cry, “Abba,  Father.” The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs — heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ…

John 8:32

“Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

Come and learn the CHARACTERISTICS of the ORPHAN SPIRIT and other HIDDEN SHARDS OF GLASS so you can be FREE to be all God has called you to be.

A Faithful God of Second Chances…He Sees Who We’ll Be!

I had the most beautiful day today. 🙂

The last 2 – 3 months have been EXTREMELY busy. We’ve added 40 more beds to our transitional housing at my job, plus added two new staff and brought on an AmeriCorps member.  So between training people and all the additional homeless clients coming in to our housing, I’ve been SWAMPED. But it’s all good! GROWING PAINS are GOOD! I am in awe at what God is doing in our midst.

But truth be told, something happened to me in the last month or two in the midst of this busyness. I’ve been SO busy that I’d forgotten to pay attention to God in my midst. Let me explain.

My typical day on the job can normally be summed up as “journeying with God.” Usually as I go about my days, meeting new clients, managing existing clients, etc. I am usually very aware of God in my midst. I can sense His presence and I am able to work fast enough to get everything done, but slow enough to be listening for Him to speak along the way. Frequently I hear God whisper in my ear and give me a word or direction for a particular client or particular situation. My days are charged with LIFE, as His Spirit leads and guides me.

But this past weekend I found myself crying out to the Lord… “WHERE ARE YOU?” I suddenly realized that my days had become dry and stagnant. They were very mechanical and task driven. There was so much to do, I shifted into “Mary mode” and began to operate in my own strength. No longer was I even conscious of the fact that God was with me (of course He was there,) but I wasn’t intentionally listening for His voice or being comforted by His sweet presence around me throughout the day. I was busy, busy, busy and driven to get it all done.

Upon my realization of this I instantly repented for my feeble attempts to go it alone, and for not seeking first the Kingdom of God in the midst of my days (Matt 6:33). Don’t get me wrong, I was still spending time with the Lord in the mornings, but suddenly it was like I’d “leave Him at home” and go about my day on my own. (Again, I know He was with me, but I was ignoring His presence.) I managed to get very exhausted and even sick on more than one occasion. My defenses were down… physically and spiritually. But now I saw the problem and let the grace and Blood of Jesus Christ refresh and renew me.

Yet this week, I managed to start it off in the old mode of “going it alone.” Not even realizing it, I fell right back into the same pattern because I was not INTENTIONAL to seek first the Kingdom. But then today…. Ahhhh. Today!

We did 5am outreach in the streets of downtown Atlanta this morning and brought in 7 new clients. Often, clients are somewhat resistant to coming into housing. (Think about it… someone is waking you up at 5am with a flashlight saying “Come with me.”… yeah right!) But today the very first man we woke up IMMEDIATELY said yes! As he sprung to his feet and began to pack his belongings, I noticed his Bible in his bedding. I said “John, is that your Sword?” “Yes ma’am!” he replied. 🙂 John then got on the bus.

As we were doing intakes, John decided he didn’t want to stay. He wanted to go to a different agency. So I called the other agency to see if they still had room and they did. I offered to give him a ride and on the way there, he pulled out His Bible and began to read. We began to talk about the goodness of God and how gracious He is to rescue and redeem us when we don’t deserve it.

As we arrived and walked in the lobby, the staff behind the desk immediately recognized the client. He had been in their housing a few months earlier and didn’t leave on good terms. You could feel the tension building as the staff member recapped the events of the past and pretty much told John “You’re not welcome here.” (He did end up saying “If you have absolutely no where else to go but the street, we’ll take you. But in all honesty, I don’t really want you to stay.) I could see John’s anger rising. In fact the staff member commented that he wasn’t comfortable with the way John was looking at him. And for a brief moment, I wasn’t sure I wanted to get in my car with his guy and his bottled up anger. So I said, “John, let’s go outside and talk about what to do.”

As we got outside, John said “I guess I just need to humble myself and go back in and apologize.” So as we headed for the door, he stopped and said, “No, I need to walk by faith and not be afraid of something new and uncertain. It’s a new day and a new way of doing things. I want to go back to your place. Can I?” Truth be told, in the natural I wasn’t sure if I wanted him in our housing after what I heard about his past adventure at this other agency. And I’m sure John could sense it. But I heard God tell me to take him in.

As we got in my car John said, “So how am I doing?” Confused I said, “What do you mean?” He said, “With passing my test. This is a test of adversity that I’ve been reading about. I hope I’m passing it today. This is new for me.” I assured him he most definitely was as I had just witnessed his anger be diffused by putting his trust in Jesus and acting out that trust. John then picked up his Bible and began to read for the rest of the ride.

God then told me that John needs to be in a location with other clients who are actively studying their Bibles and going to church. The particular location I immediately thought of was on the other side of town and did not have a vacancy. So I began to make some phone calls and long story short, God made room for John. I arrived at the original location and another case manager took John to his new home.

It could have ended here for me. You see, for the first time in a long time I saw and heard God in the midst of my busyness. This alone was so refreshing to me and renewed my passion for the work that I do. I have found that if I do anything for any reason other than God’s eternal purposes, it leaves me empty and very dissatisfied. At this moment I was feeling very satisfied and was very aware of God’s presence around me.

A few hours later I was at our office when the case manager who took John arrived. We began a conversation in which I shared the above testimony of how I had been ignoring God in my day to day busyness but had seen him mightily today. That’s when the case manager told me the most amazing thing…

When they arrived at the new location, Jack, a Peer Support Assistant for our agency was there to greet John. When they saw each other, they immediately embraced each other in a GIANT BEAR HUG! They had known each other over 10 years ago when both were homeless and addicted. In fact, the last time they saw each other, John was sleeping in a dumpster and almost got picked up by the big sanitation trucks that empty the dumpsters. Thank God he woke up when the truck began to dump the dumpster! Upon seeing Jack’s restored condition and sobriety, John was encouraged with a renewed sense of hope for himself. Jack loves the Lord and often leads other clients in Bible study and John will now sit under his wing as God begins to restore his life. We saw the POTENTIAL in John, and now John began to see it for himself! At this point I could do nothing but come to tears. Had I been alone I probably would have started sobbing but I managed to hold myself together. BUT GOD….!!!!!

Then on the way home, a song came on that I’ve been listening to frequently (HEAVENLY PLACES) and I realized how much this song sums up the heart of the work we do at Atlanta Outreach Project ( As these lyrics suggest, our number one goal at Atlanta Outreach is to SPEAK TRUE IDENTITY to our new friends. We are not there to judge them and tell them all they’ve done wrong. But with God’s eyes and God’s heart… we see MERCY, JUSTICE, TRUTH and LOVE. If we are INTENTIONAL to ask God to show us His thoughts for a person, He will faithfully show us His heart.  We know that self-focus is so overrated and that we can tend to be quick to point out someone’s flaws (and our own), but when we look at Him and then look at someone else… we see someone who is WORTHY, someone who has PURPOSE and VALUE… we see WHO THEY’LL BE. Thank you Lord for loving us just the way we are, and being patient with us as you transform us into all you intend for us to be.

May you too be blessed by this song (lyrics below).

You above, seated in the Heavenlies.
Who am I? Who am I to You?
Speak to me, my true identity.
Speak to me, speak to me

You’re not waiting to come down and judge me, or tell me of all I’ve done wrong
But when I look at You… Oh when you look my way…

I see mercy, I see justice, I see truth and love
I see passion, I see wonder, I see holiness

You above, seated in the Heavenlies
Who are You? Who do I say You are?
Reveal to me, even in Your majesty
Your true thoughts, let me see Your heart

You’re not waiting to come down and judge me, or tell me of all I’ve done wrong
But when I look at You… Oh when I see You…

I am seated with You in the Heavenly places

Heavenly places with You

I am seated with You in the Heavenly places

Heavenly places with You

Self-focus is way overrated. I’m so quick to point out my flaws
But when You look at me… Oh when You look my way…

You call me worthy, You see beauty, You see purity
You see purpose, You see value, You see who I’ll be

I am seated with You in the Heavenly places

Heavenly places with You

I am seated with You in the Heavenly places

Heavenly places with You
You call me worthy, You see beauty, You see who I’ll be.
