Seasons of Warfare = Seasons of Growth (if you allow them to be)

Seasons of warfare are often cyclical. September and October are one of the highest times of spiritual warfare each year, and a time when many struggle… either by:

1) being under attack (when the enemy targets our wounds or insecurities by twisting things we’ve heard or seen),

2) being used by the enemy to attack others (many do not attack intentionally, but it is through their unresolved wounds that the enemy gains influence and uses others).

Think about what is going on around you right now, and think back to previous years during this same season. Many will see this proven in their own lives.

Spirits/tactics that dominate during this particular season every year are: competition, jealousy, perversion (twisting of words and misunderstanding), betrayal, false accusation, slander, criticism and judgment. Often these can come through people closest to you.

Be encouraged! It’s an opportunity to exercise your trust in Jesus and come to a place of knowing Him more intimately. If we remain humble we can allow it to be a time of stretching and growth, rather than a time of set back. Keep moving forward, faithful soldiers! Don’t get stuck in the drama of the enemy’s tactics.

Sing and shout praises and thanksgiving to the Most High God, for your victory is promised through the blood of Jesus Christ!

Isa 55:8-9 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Rom 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Rom 16:17-20 I urge you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them. For such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds of naive people. Everyone has heard about your obedience, so I rejoice because of you; but I want you to be wise about what is good, and innocent about what is evil. The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet.

Eph 6:10-20  Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.  Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.  Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.  Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.  In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.  Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.  And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.  With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.  Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains.  Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.
